Focus builds are Defect’s most flexible and scalable archetype.

The strategy revolves around increasing Focus and Orb slots, then filling those slots with Frost, Lightning, or Dark orbs depending on your preferred scaling style.

Pro Tips

Focus scaling becomes dramatically stronger with additional Orb slots.

Capacitor is one of the strongest commons/uncommons for this archetype.

Frost orbs are the safest way to stabilize difficult fights.

Dark orbs scale incredibly well in longer boss encounters.

You still need enough Orb generation — Focus alone does nothing without active orbs.
