Playstyle
The Defect is STS2's most mechanically complex character, rebuilt with a bulkier chassis after a 1,000-year skip. Its identity revolves around channeling elemental Orbs — Lightning, Frost, Dark, Glass, and Plasma — each generating passive effects every turn and detonating for a burst when evoked. Most games converge on one of two plans: stacking Focus to amplify Orb passives and snowball a board state of persistent elemental effects, or pivoting to a Claw deck that ignores Orbs entirely and wins through cycling zero-cost attacks. Slow to come online, but its late-game ceiling is the highest of any character.
